South India Temple Tour Package - 11 Nights / 12 Days Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Chennai

When the tourists arrive at the Chennai International Airport, our representative will welcome them and escort them to the specified hotel for the overnight stay at Chennai.

Day 2 - Chennai Sightseeing

The tourists will visit the capital city of Tamil Nadu and explore it with the sightseeing tour. The tour of Chennai starts with the visit to Parthasarathy Temple and the Kapaleeshwarar Temple and other such temples. After this visit, the tourists will visit the Marina Beach. They can relax themselves and fun on this beautiful shoreline. Overnight stay is at Chennai.

Day 3 - Chennai – Tirupati – Chennai (by car)

The tourists will visit the religious and Hindu pilgrimage city of Tirumala the next morning. This city is home to the famous Tirupati Temple of South India. On the top of one of the seven hills, the Sri Venkateshwara Temple sits graciously. It is referred to as the richest temple in terms of receiving donations annually. The tourists will return to Chennai after the darshan at this temple.

Day 4 - Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (by car)

The tourists will leave for a visit to the two cities, which are famous for their cultural and religious heritage, Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram. The city of Kanchipuram lies on the way to Mahabalipuram. The tourists will pay a visit to the Kamakashi Amman Temple and Vardharajan Perumal Temple. On arrival at Mahabalipuram, the tourists will visit the various temples and monuments, some of which are UNESCO Heritage Sites.

Day 5 - Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (by car)

After breakfast, the tourists will leave for Pondicherry by car. The city is known especially for the dominance of French as a local language. The tourists will visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the beautiful Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the French War Memorial. They will also relax on the Promenade Beach and Rock Beach on the coastline of the city. Night stay at Pondicherry.

Day 6 - Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Tanjore

The tourists will leave for Tanjore in the morning and will visit Chidambaram on the way. The tourists will visit the famous attraction, the Nataraja Temple, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. After the visit, they will leave for Tanjore and night stay is at the hotel in the city itself.

Day 7 - Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai

The tourists will visit the city of Tiruchirapalli on their way to Madurai. Once part of the Chola Kingdom, the sightseeing tour will include Ranganathaswamy Temple, Ucchi Pillayar Temple, and the Tiruchirapalli Rock Fort. After this, they will continue their drive to Madurai and reach by evening. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 8 - Madurai Sightseeing

The whole day is available for the tourists to explore this extravagant and cultural city of Madurai. They will visit the Sri Meenakshi Temple, Meenakshi Amman Temple, and the Tirumalai Nayak Palace along with other places. The tourists will come back to the hotel for dinner and after that, they will get a chance to visit the Madurai Temple Night Ceremony. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 9 - Madurai – Rameshwaram

The next day, tourists will visit the island city of Rameshwaram, separated from India long back. The sightseeing tour includes Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram Temple, and Agni Tirtham. The tourists will come back to the hotel after the pooja ceremony and spend the night in Rameshwaram.

Day 10 - Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari

The tourists will leave for the beautiful city of Kanyakumari along a route with amazing lush mountains and scenic landscapes. They will explore the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple on the way, and continue their drive to Kanyakumari. They will reach the city at the perfect time in the evening to enjoy the breathtaking sunset at Kanyakumari Shore and witness the natural beauty. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.

Day 11 - Kanyakumari – Kovalam

This day is open for the tourists to visit the number of temples in the city, like the Thanumalayan Temple, Kumari Amman Temple, and the Devi Kumari temple. The Rock Memorial is also necessary visit. The tourists will then leave for the beach city of Kovalam, and relax on the beaches for the rest of the day. Overnight at Kovalam.

Day 12 - Kovalam – Trivandrum

The tour terminates at the beach city of Kovalam. The tourists are transferred to the nearest Trivandrum International Airport for their further travel.
